California Drug Crimes Criminal Defense Attorney

Because of the passage of Prop 47 - most simple drug possession cases are now treated as misdmeanors. Serious felony drug cases such as possession with intent to sell and transportation of narcotics are defensible if you have an experienced San Diego drug attorney on your side.

HOW TO DEFEND AGAINST CALIFORNIA DRUG CHARGES

A drug charge is still a serious offense despite the passage of Prop 47 - which reduced many simple drug possession charges to misdemeanors. The effect of Proposition 47 is that the San Diego City Attorney's Office now handles drug cases - and these generally young, and inexperienced prosecutors do not care whose life they ruin in their pursuit of gaining trial experience - everyone is guilty in their eyes and the police never make mistakes.

The sad truth is that prosecutors in our justice system are supposed to be truth seekers - but in reality they have made up their minds that you are guilty before they ever see you. To defend against drug charges, you need an experienced criminal defense attorney at your side to be your advocate. We take cases to trial because we know we can make a compelling argument to the jury about your innocence.

There are several types of drug charges - most of which are found in the California Health & Safety Code, rather than the California Penal Code. If you are charged with a drug offense in California, you need to call an experienced criminal defense attorney immediately.
